Peter brings a unique blend of public and private sector experience to the race. He has served as both Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Village of Briarcliff Manor and is the founder and CEO of Napa Group, LLC, a privately owned tech company serving global banking clients.

Peter’s earliest involvement with local politics came as he battled Donald Trump’s original plans for the Trump National golf course that would have destroyed the vista of surrounding homes and disrupted the existing small town feel of the village he loves.  Despite Trump’s claim that his layout was “the best, most beautiful, most perfect use of the space,” the completed course is closer to Peter’s alternative vision.

First elected as Mayor in 2003, Peter has won campaigns for public office five times.

As a successful entrepreneur, he understands how to build teams, manage budgets, and invest limited resources for maximal success.  Although he runs a small business, he has personally negotiated contracts with some of the largest financial institutions in the world.

As an elected official, Peter has drafted and enacted over 70 local laws — ranging from tax relief for veterans, firefighters, and low-income homeowners, to incentives for clean energy, environmental protection, improved quality of life, and expanded housing.  He helped establish the Briarcliff Manor Local Development Corporation, a public/private partnership where he serves as Vice Chairman.

A lifelong Westchester Democrat, Peter has deep roots in civic life, from coaching youth soccer and fostering shelter animals to supporting local education, libraries, historic preservation, and inclusivity. He created the first Pride Celebration ever held in the Village.

Along with his wife Susan, he is a longtime supporter of Rockland Pride, Planned Parenthood, and Rockland’s Center for Safety and Change – each of which Susan has served as a member of the board of directors – as well as the SPCA and Westchester Humane Society.

Peter and Susan have raised four children, each of whom are now living with spouses or partners in four different states.  He and his wife are hoping to become grandparents soon, if any of the kids are reading this.  They have also fostered countless kittens and rescue dogs, including three pure American mutts – Charlie, Leo, and Stella – who decided they did not want to be placed in any other home.
